HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOONSHADOWS

Today we start the celebration of the Moonshadows’ fourth birthday!

We must begin by remembering their mother, Daisy, who had to leave a few month ago. There was not a kinder, sweeter girl than Daisy and she is deeply missed 💔

We also want to remember the Moonshadow who had to leave the party much too soon — Margie. She is not forgotten and neither is Toby’s grief at her loss.

Allowing sorrow to exist next to our joy reminds us to never take one second for granted. We can both feel loss and celebrate what is — and that is what we are doing.

Let’s begin with Laurie’s update about sweet Scout:

“I cannot believe they are going to be 4 years old!!!  Where does the time go?  Scout continues to be the best boy ever!  He is always happy, affectionate, goofy and so lovable.  He truly has been a blessing, everyone loves Scouty!!!

And every morning he wakes me up with this face letting me know it’s time for breakfast!

Scout is always by my side…..even when I’m working, this is where he stays until I get up….then he follows me wherever I go.  He is really my best friend!!!!  I love him so very much. Thank you again for picking the perfect puppy for me!!!”

Scout has a well-loved life! Thank you, Laurie, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOUT! 🎂

Bright Star Fauci and Congratulations to Zuber

While we wait for the last two Bright Star Updates (which I will put here when they come in — [updated] one down and one to go!), let’s congratulate Bright Star Zuber for finishing his NJP (agility) in three straight runs 🌟🎉

Well done, Team Zuber!

We have a fun birthday update from Fauci’s family — YAY! Jack shares:

“He is, and has always been, the companion dog of my life, filling the pawprints left by the six Berners we have loved and lost. 

Fauci is my constant partner in everything, and Maria and I are so happy with him.  He has adapted to our new family dog, Tango, a super mini-poodle that is now Maria's constant companion. 

I'm not sure if the neutering really helped Fauci, but he had some additional behavior training last summer and is much more relaxed around other dogs and people.  He is still wary of newcomers, but those he accepts are his friends for life that he enthusiastically greets. 

Fauci still enjoys weekly agility class, obedience training and is amazing at draft work.  He has been my demo dog in drafting workshops this year. 

He and his brother from another mother, Kash, draft together and explore Frederick with Ellen Miller and me.

Bright Star and Bagels

We have a Bright Star birthday update from the very busy Jr. Heintzbergers. Between kids and their busy bagel store, this family is hopping. So much gratitude to them for pulling this update together 🙏

John shares:

‘We wish a very Happy Birthday to Dallas and all her siblings!  

As the days click by (more quickly than we prefer!), both Dallas and her boys have grown up!  

Dallas loves to be with her family at all hours of the day.  She has matured into a mellow old soul who follows our guests and the boys’ friends around for treats and pets.  Mealtimes are well reminded… if I leave at 4am for work she will leap up in anticipation of mealtime.

We love her constant enthusiasm and happy personality!”

And I love being close to Dallas, Atlas, and their humans. Thank you, John et al. and HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALLAS!!
