It wasn’t quite the summertime adventure we wanted but off we went to Sun Valley, Idaho — we being Claire, Capella, and Pozy — and me, of course. Someone had to drive, after all.
We left the house at 4:00 am yesterday — the 5+ hour drive could not be more beautiful. Seriously.
The wildflowers put on a spectacular show…
This seemed appropriate given that the reason for this trip was Wildflower Pozy Clarkia…
Pozy tore a cruciate and so yesterday was her surgery day. I like the Sun Valley guy a lot and so off we went…
I could feel like the Universe is not my friend lately and I suspect everyone would understand. But most of the time I am able to see all the good things — all the blessings — all the ways I am supported.
Like wildflowers on a hard day.
There is always consolation. Always. We just have to see it.
We arrived promptly at our 9:30 appointment and left Pozy to get fixed up.
I poked around Ketchum for a bit — what a charming place that is. I found the HUGE dog park. Normally I am not a dog park person — but this is no ordinary dog park. It is acres of open space where dogs can be off-leash. Claire stayed in the car while Capella romped — a dog park would not be Claire’s cup of broth but Capella? She had a blast.
Claire also had fun yesterday — her most favorite kind of fun…
Thanks to Bright Star Tobie’s humans for telling us about this gem of a spot — both Claire and Capella LOVED it. The swimming genes are strong in Capella…
Then it was 3:00 pm and time to pick up a sleepy Pozy and head back home.
And so we did.
How is that for a Summertime Adventure?
Happy Tuesday, Friends!
