She continues to thrive, enjoying wrestling with Zuber and galloping romps on their walks together. Her birthday walk was in feathery flurries, magical.

She briefly celebrated the Winter Solstice outside, then we both dashed inside where the humans are hanging out.”

Zimmer!

Kathy shares: “Zimmer is definitely the perfect dog.  We don’t know what we would do without him.  He has traveled many times this year between Wickenburg, Arizona, San Diego and Kansas City, with a quick trip for Thanksgiving to Long Beach.  

He a perfect traveler in the car, in hotels, and in everyone’s home.  He adores all our grandchildren and their parents.  He is never more than a few steps away from me and is my best friend.  

He is still that very active, goofy, freckled guy who makes us laugh every day.  His working job is spreading joy to all of us.  

Thank you Mary-Ann for letting us share this wonderful boy’s life.  

We wish all the Sparklers a very happy birthday and remember and send love to Tika and Claire’s families.”

LUCAS!

Kay sends us this report: “Our Lucas is still thriving and kept active by his Bright Star nephew Sage. Although he is not competing in dog events anymore, Lucas demands his training time and especially enjoys retrieving his dumbbell.

He seems to really enjoy barking and keeps us noisily informed of everything going on in the neighborhood. He is also always up for a ride in the car.

The two boys together are such fun and we’re very happy to have them. Thanks, Mary-Ann, for blessing us with our special Lucas.”

Today is the eighth birthday of the Sparklers!

First update is Jordan!

Dianne shares: “Jordan at 8 is amazing.  

She is still very healthy and happy and loves to hang out with her house siblings.  

She also still loves the water and given the chance loves to dabble in herding.  

Happy birthday fellow Sparklers.  Thinking of those gone too soon.”

And now for RUTHIE!

Lori shares: “At 8 years old Ruthie is truly my Peter Pan dog - she won’t grow up. She’s silly and clever and funny and sweet and my very best friend. 

🩷

We’ve had a year of fun and success in scent work, which is her favorite activity. She is within striking distance of her overall Advanced title. 

Ruthie made a complete recovery from her TPLO last year and continues to try to blow out the other knee.

We are looking forward to continued good health and fun adventures as life takes us in a new direction in the coming year.

We wish all the Sparklers a happy birthday and wish Tika and Claire were still with us.
