Sparkle’s heart is structurally normal — yay! She is having some minor arrhythmias but nothing crazy scary like what happened with Claire 🙏 She will be on a low dose medication to deal with this.
In other news, we now know that her bone lesion was osteosarcoma — the biopsy just came back.
Sigh.
I feel sad — and I feel so lucky. She is, after all, almost 12 and perfect 🩷

Sparkle this morning, still enjoying good drugs 🩷
We do have a recovery glitch — her heart rate is too fast and we do not know why. It is regular — just fast.
I noticed that her gums became less pink when she is more active — like when I go outside with her. I called the MT vet and at her direction went to a local vet yesterday who did an EKG and bloodwork. All good — except that fast heart rate.
It should not be pain (and she doesn’t seem painful) but just in case, we increased some of her meds. She does not have a fever. She seems relatively content.
Strange and concerning.
Sparkle sees a cardiologist tomorrow. Still no results from the biopsies but hopefully we will have those soon.
It is stressful trying to thread this needle on her behalf 🙏
Sparkle was so happy to see the kids yesterday.
Berkeley especially loves dogs. She created her own version of the Illustrated Guide to Dog Breeds on my white board.
