The Cute Girl Toddler Report: Berkeley remains stable on the diet and her new Genetic doc is ordering tests and etc. The Little Family appreciates your continued good thoughts as they navigate this still unknown New Normal.
Harper B for Ball.
Harper is healthy and well (quick — knock on wood!). The snow — ugh! But we are undaunted and she will be as ready as possible for her Specialty events.
I have found it best to focus on two dogs at a Specialty, and this year one of those dogs is Harper B for Brilliant.
A focus on two does not mean that the other dogs are left out of the fun. Due to her upcoming breeding, Sparkle will not be a focus but she will still compete in some classes.
Sparklers 2.0 is creating all manner of uncertainties for me. My best guess is that Sparkle will be in season in April — but when in April? That is the Big Question. So how does one plan around a trip that will take quite a long time when one is not sure when said trip will happen?!
I have explained to Sparkle that if she would like to win the Cooperator Award, she will come in season such that the creation of Sparklers 2.0 can happen at the Specialty. How likely do you suppose that is?
Daisy.
What a delightful girl Daisy is — if you liked Sydney, you will love Daisy. A Sydney granddaughter, Daisy brings all that was wonderful about Syd back into our lives.
Daisy will be attending her very first Specialty! Although not a focus, she will be entered in two events — and hopes to meet many new friends!
Claire.
Can I just say how wonderful and amazing it is to have a Zoey granddaughter who is every bit as crazed about those balls as Zoey was?!
Claire is the second dog who will be a focus at the Specialty. Young and green in events, I am still hopeful that we will prevail over the snow and be ready enough to make a good showing.
Oh, the snow…
Yesterday we attempted to lay a track for our friend, Sundance — this effort was abandoned after I fell in the knee-deep wet snow and could not get up, in part because I was laughing too hard. What is there to do but laugh and hope for Spring?!
I trust that your Saturday is wonderful and productive — send photos!
