After dropping off Sparkle and Claire to stay with Dear Daughter for the day, I headed south to Salt Lake City yesterday morning. The first stop was to visit Dear Friend — this is the amazing view towards the east from her fishbowl office…

All I could imagine was what would happen if you tripped — would you go right through the window?!

And then I had a wonderful lunch with another Dear Friend, and made brief visits with friends/former colleagues at the pediatric hospital where I worked before moving to Montana — bittersweet.

Berkeley’s appointment was at the clinic across from the hospital so we marched across the skybridge and waited for the little family. Once they arrived, Joan went back to work and I transformed into the Granny Nanny — holding Lincoln for the 1.5+ hours of the appointment. That view looked like this…

My poor right arm! That child is solid.

This was the view from the clinic — it faces west towards the very building I had been in that morning.

I love Salt Lake City!

I let Dear Friend know I was watching her, prompting her to call me a Stalker. In addition to the tripping danger, a glass office doesn’t afford much privacy!

The appointment went well. They appreciated the physician very much as she was thoughtful and informative. The end result is that Berkeley has a very puzzling and unusual collection of symptoms and lab work, and the Metabolic Genetics doc will be valuable; that appointment is next up.

Once that is completed, there may be additional tests in Salt Lake City but one step at a time.

This is the view of Berkeley after the appointment…

Happy Face!

She will stay on her low fat/high carb eating plan and continue doing the things that two-year-olds do…

The talent is real.

I hope you have a wonderful day that includes amazing views of everything and every one.
