When I moved here, I thought these were chipmunks because they are small — nope, squirrels.
“Who are you calling a chipmunk?!”
It is why I still call them Chippies.
I leave nuts out for them and this provides endless entertainment for the cats — watching the Chippy Channel is their favorite morning activity.
The ability to be entertained by ordinary things is such a gift; I am so glad to have it.
Pozy’s recovery continues to go well. It is not easy with such a young and active dog in a house of busy dogs but — much to her dismay — we follow the rules: NO PLAYING. NO RUNNING AMUCK. NO FUN.
Like all hard things, it is temporary. She is, however, unconvinced when I remind her of this.
