Today we have a birthday update from Alison:
"Veteran, Shmeteran" says Ms Kiri. "Veterans are OLD and I am NOT old. I am in my prime!" [An aside - did you know that until 1999 Berners were considered veterans at the age of six?]
Browsing through Kiri's puppy pictures I was reminded that she was a very grey puppy. So fun to watch my baby grey goose grow into Princess Kiri.
Kiri at 4 months playing with her uncle, iPup Tristan
Kiri artfully balances bouncy busy with ultra relaxed. This fall she learned the game of offering behaviors, as well as learning new behaviors to offer. She delights in this game, throwing behaviors in rapid succession with a giant grin on her face. She spins, twists, bounces, prances, backs, scoots, and leaps, tail wagging furiously, all with a "What can you do?" or a questioning look from me. Together we have been exploring the world of on line training courses, gradually adding new games to our repertoire and adapting and adjusting old games in ways that please us both. Those last words are key, "In ways that please us both". We are partners in our dances and games. I laugh with her a LOT.
Kiri excels at couch and bed cuddles and regularly tries to overwhelm me with a deluge of licking. She loves to leap up for hugs at full stretch. Wrestling and racing with her baby brother Zuber (a Bright Star) are daily recreation and she diligently schools his respect for members of the opposite sex.
Kiri was sure her birthday cake was a set up and refused to look at it but definitely knew what to do when it was transferred to her dish. Yummy raspberries!
VERY clever — and healthy!
Happy Birthday to all the Sparklers. Sending hugs and memories to Tika's whole family.”
Thank you to Alison, Tom, Tristan and Zuber for Kiri’s wonderful and interesting and well-loved life.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kiri!
