The past week has been Spring Break, which meant I had even more time to be very busy with all the things I am doing these days.
Like the Specialty newsletter!
Suzanne’s partner, Jay, is my Specialty newsletter teammate and we have been working hard to get as much done in advance as possible. The first edition — a pre-show newsletter that will go out on Monday — is done and we have a great start to all the other editions as well. YAY! Maybe I will get to sleep during the Specialty week 🤔💤
BMDCA members will receive the newsletter in their email box but I will also post the link here so you can follow the fun.
Spring is considering an appearance here in western Montana and I am so happy to be back to consistent dog walks in the morning.
Spring also means everything is thawing, much to Claire’s delight…
Thawing and melting means mud — Claire does not care. It also means all the gross things buried under the snow are right there for dogs to engage — as you will hear about in this video…
Rolling on a deer carcass — really?! Yes — really. 🛁🛀🏿
That wasn’t the only dog walking mishap this week.
My dogs ride in crates when driving but we were just going 1/2 mile to the start of the walk so I let Sparkle be loose in the back. I shut the sliding door and went to open the driver’s door at the exact moment Sparkle stepped on the key fob I had left on the console between the seats.
The dreaded click as all the doors locked.
I tried — to no avail — to get Sparkle to step on the fob again and open the doors but apparently that was a once in a lifetime kind of event. The walk was delayed as we waited for AAA to show up and unlock the van 🤷🏼♀️
Note to Self: Get an extra key.
I leave for the Specialty in one week!!! I.can’t.wait.
Have a groovy Saturday doing far out things!
