Once upon a time, a cat named Karma decided that Costco had sold a bed under false pretenses. They claimed it was a DOG bed when clearly, it is a CAT bed.
Harper B for Be My Guest was gracious about this, even though she secretly thought Karma was being a wee bit deluded and dramatic.
Capella, however, disagreed with Karma’s assessment of the bed. “Listen, no place that gives out such good samples could be wrong. This is a DOG bed,” Capella firmly told her. Capella has been getting assertiveness lessons from her mom, Claire.
Karma was not amused, and did not appreciate having her tummy used as a dog pillow. “GET OFF MY BED!” she said to Capella.
“NOW!” she added.
The assertiveness lessons have not covered how to handle rejection and Capella’s feelings were hurt. Karma did not care about that at all.
“GOOD! I am glad your feelings are hurt — now get off my bed!” she said, glaring at poor Capella.
Pozy tried to negotiate a truce, suggesting to Karma that the bed could be shared.
That went well.
